Where are you located?
■ We are located on the corner of Knight Street and E49th Avenue. Our address is 1389 E49th Avenue, Vancouver, BC.
Do you have parking space at the showroom?
■ Yes, we have underground parking as well as street level parking behind the building.
What are your store hours?
■ We are open Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, Saturdays from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Sundays 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm (please note that the Service Department is unavailable on Sundays).
Do you offer or sell any used appliances?
■ No, Handy Appliances does not offer used appliances.
Do you offer delivery and installation?
■ Yes! Some special promo’s offer free shipping right to your doorstep. If you need someone to set up your appliances for you, we also offer installation!
How much are delivery and installation?
■ Delivery fees are dependent on whether or not the product is on promotion. All free shipping item are labeled on the product’s page or during checkout. If free shipping is not included, the delivery charge is $49.99 for Drop Ship Delivery (not including installation or debris removal) or $69.99 for Delivery and Placement (unpacking, placement within a residence, no installation). Installations will be quoted based on the complexity of the appliance, difficulty of installation, and the location of the address requesting the installation. Give us a call for a quote!
Do you offer services on appliances bought from other retailers?
■ No, we typically encourage customers to return to their appliance retailer for repairs.
I purchased an appliance from Handy a while ago, and now I have some issues, what can I do?
■ Give us a call at 604-879-1555 and let us know what the problem is, and our service department can send someone over to take a look and fix the problem.
What do you charge for repairs and diagnostics?
■ We charge a flat fee of $99.00 for regular appliance and $139.00 for premium appliances for diagnosing what the issue is with your appliance. The cost of repairs will be dependent on the diagnostics, and will be quoted according to our Repair Rates Guide. If after the diagnostic you decide that you no longer want to proceed with the repairs, you will receive a $39.95 credit towards purchasing a new appliance with us.
How do I confirm a service time or date?
■ After requesting a service appointment with us, one of our service department reps will give you a call confirming the date for the service. On the morning of the service, a technician will contact you by phone between the hours of 8:00 – 9:00 am to book a time with you, so you can expect when the technician will be coming. No need to wait all day!
I won’t be home during certain times of the day, can I request a specific time for the service?
■ When the technician calls in the morning (between 8:00 – 9:00) to confirm a time slot, feel free to let him know what time works best for you and we will do our best to accommodate. However, due to logistical reasons, we cannot guarantee your requested time will be offered. If none of the time slots of the day works for you, a new date and time will be scheduled.
I purchased a part from Handy, can I get a refund?
■ All appliance part sales are final. If a part is defective under the 90-day manufacturer warranty (commence from the date of purchase), we can make arrangements to replace the faulty part. However, we will not be able to offer refunds.
